SNDS… ITS HUMBLE BEGINNINGS

Amidst controversial issues, Sto. Nino Diocesan  School  began in May 27, 2002 destined to be managed by the MCST and SFIC Sisters. It is a fulfilled dream by the residents of General Tinio, Nueva Ecija.

Sowing began in November 2001whe a group of parents and teachers went to Bishop Balce informing him about the problem of Sto. Cristo Catholic School which they believed the school is a Diocesan School. After a complete study of the conflicts, Bishop Balce in his capacity as chairperson of the diocesan school took the responsibility of setting the issue. He paid the salaries of the teachers last December 2001 with the hope that everything will be settled amicably. Negotiations took place until the time came that is was discovered that the so-called Catholic School registered in the name of the Diocese was a privately-owned institution registered in the Securities and Exchange Commission as of January 2002.

Prior to the opening of classes, thorough planning was done by a team composed of Most Rev. Sofio G. Balce, Fr. Catalino S. Villaviza, Sr. Isabel S. Benitez,SFIC, Mrs. Cely Caballero, Dr. Nestor B. Bote, and Mr. Danilo Q. Padolina, parents and teachers of Sto. Cristo Catholic School.
With the voluntary assistance and efforts given by the personnel of the Division Office, the Department of Education in Pampanga and some Lawyers, two options were presented: 1.) Voluntary turnover of Sto. Cristo   Catholic School to the Diocese; 2.) Opening an entirely new school so as not to inherit the liabilities of the former school.

Last May 2002, the Bishop took the second option which is the opening a new school, Bishop Sofio G. Balce and Sr. Isabel S. Benitez, SFIC worked out the necessary papers from the Department of Education and registered the school under the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Sto. Nino Diocesan School was given the permit to operate during the school year 2002-2003 and received the Government’s Recognition (SY 2003-2004).

The growth of Sto. Nino Diocesan School became more dynamic when it was assisted by the Lasallian Schools Supervision Office (LASSO), an affiliate of the De La Salle University System, through its supervisor, Mr. Rex R. Lor.

To date, Sto. Nino Diocesan School is the only Diocesan School in General Tinio and continues to give quality education to the young as it lives up to its commitment to the parishioners of General Tinio, Nueva Ecija.to tell a story and let your users know a little more about you.
